Dr Gunther von Hagens first ever UK lecture!
Video of the event coming soon
Scalpel are thrilled to announce that Dr Gunther von Hagens - anatomist, pioneer of Plastination and the creator of the Bodyworlds exhibition - will be presenting his first UK lecture at the Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI) in Manchester on Friday 23rd May at 7pm.
Dr. von Hagens will present his personal account on the invention and development of Plastination, his groundbreaking technique of preventing decomposition of body tissues after death for anatomical study. The presentation will be followed by an opportunity for the media and the audience to ask questions.
Scalpel are delighted to be able to offer members the opportunity to hear the most famous anatomist of our time. As you can imagine, it is unlikely we will be able to admit everyone who is interested as seats at the lecture theatre are limited. Therefore, reservations will be allocated on a first come first served basis with priority going to card holding Scalpel members.
Book now by emailing Scalpel at scalpel@manchester.ac.uk quoting your scalpel card membership number where applicable.
We hope you will join us for this truly unique opportunity.
Best wishes
