The International Journal of Surgery - Special Student Edition
20th June 2008The International Journal of Surgery (IJS) is an exciting multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal which publishes high-quality original research articles, educational reviews and other papers designed to appeal to a worldwide audience of trainee and qualified surgeons and practitioners working in related fields. The journal is indexed by MEDLINE, publishes six issues a year and also offers rapid advance online publication.
A special student edition of the IJS is planned to be launched this autumn and is aimed at students interested in surgery. This edition will bring together content of particular interest to medical students who are interested in pursuing a career in surgery and provide a valuable forum for learning and discussion.
Students are eligible for a special discounted subscription rate, details of which can be found here http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/journaldescription.cws_home/705107/description#description
This journal will also provide a suitable medium for students to publish their research and academic papers. The editors are currently interested in surgical elective reports but are also open to ideas. For those interested please contact the student editor at samreen.rizvi@imperial.ac.uk, stating your involvement with Manchester Surgical Society.
Thanks
Best wishes,
